Some action points coming out of our discussion: - Workshop:

• All of us: block whole week 21-25 October
• Mario, can you have a good look at the invitee list? Then send it back to Simon M.
• Mats: draft invitation letter next week. Mario, can you send it out soon after?

- Review:

• Ylva will finalize the current version of the review, and send out shortly.
• All of us: send comments

- Framework:

• Mats and Ylva: start off some kind of discussion document/outline/description of building blocks the week after next and circulate to the wider team
• All of us: comment and hopefully get on same wavelength
• All of us: commit to contribute to specific sections
• Mats, Ylva, Simons, An, Birthe + others that can make it: convene in Nairobi in September to work on framework

- Targeting/Field site selection:

• Simon M: collate GIS layers and provide overview maps (inspiration on variables can be gotten from Simon F’s and Jeannette’s targeting documents in resp. Kenya and TZ)
• Simon M: get locations (GIS shape files) of current field sites of EADD, MilkIT, MICA, etc
• Simon M: compile description of data collected in above sites
• Mats, Ylva, Simon M: work together on making sense of it and plan next steps

èQuestion for Birthe and Simon F: we understand you were planning to go to the field in July. Can you give us some sense what the aim of the visit would be? èWe are somehow hoping that by September we can get some first sense of the different types of dairy farms (along some intensification gradient?) in the region.

• This could then be used to plan a 3-days field trip to visit different types of farms + some other actors in the VC.
• This should feed into typology work + first sense of how framework could be applied in local context
